1. Playwrights sign up for 10-minute slots: Alliance Open Mic Night is on a first come first serve basis: the first six playwrights* to sign up for the evening will have the opportunity to hear some of their work (either short plays or selected scenes from longer works) read aloud by actors from our community, followed by a response session from the actors and audience. In order to accommodate as many playwrights as possible, a strict adherence to the time limit is requested. Should your piece run longer than 10 minutes, your response session time will be cut shorter.

2. Evening line-up is announced: check Facebook event page on November 14th to see the line-up and character break-down of the pieces being read.

3. Actor selection: anyone can be an actor for the readings! When you arrive at the event, just let us know that you are interested in reading and you'll be given a script. For those who know they want to read, we encourage you to arrive as close to 7pm as possible.
