Props Storage Facility

Company A has a show coming up, and need props. They could buy, they could rent, or they could spend hours cruising Craigslist for that perfect item.

Company B has a bunch of props taking up space in the producer's basement.  What if there's a flood?  Or a fire?  What if they move?

The Alliance has the answer for both theatres: The Props Lending Library!

Save time, money, and basement space. Borrow your props from - or donate to - our shared prop storage facility. Your access to this facility is part of your Alliance membership! 

Even cooler: our ever-growing catalog of props is viewable online!

If you are an Alliance member, contact Jesse Strachman, our Props Committee chair, for a login and password.

(Not a member yet? You can browse the database as a guest, using the login/password "guest/guest" - you will not be able to reserve or use any props until you have a full membership with the Alliance.)

If you can't find something that we should stock, let us know! We may be able to find someone to donate one.

Here's how it works:

* Every 2nd Sunday is pickup/dropoff day.  Contact Jesse by 5pm the Friday before to confirm. 

* Please reserve your props sufficiently in advance. 

* Pickers-up and droppers-off must arrange their own transportation - we can't pick up or deliver. 

* A Props Committee member must be present.

* Because these props will be used after you use them, please return them in As Good Or Better condition! 

* Return props no later than two months after borrowing.

This is perhaps the most useful benefit the Alliance can offer our members - it's also by far the Alliance's biggest expense.  It's only worth it if as many of our members as possible take advantage!
